Patna, Oct 23 (IANS) Five people, including four underage young women, died and six others disappeared in separate incidents in streams in Aurangabad and Patna districts of Bihar state on Sunday, police said.

In Aurangabad, four underage girls went to bathe at Kuchmara Ghat in Hamid Nagar town under Abhara Police Headquarters. In any case, they did not understand the depth of the stream and began to choke. Shankar Thakur from a similar town jumped into the stream to protect them, but they also disappeared.

The deceased were marked as Manisha Kumari, 16, Kajal Kumari, 15, Nidhi Kumari, 14, and Choti Kumari, 12.

“At the time when we became aware of the incident, a rescue and recovery activity was dispatched for two victims. The activity is underway at the moment,” said Manoj Kumar Tiwari, Director of Military Operations at Abahara Police Headquarters.

In another incident, a speedboat carrying 21 people was disturbed in Ganga Stream in Digha district of Patna on Sunday morning, after colliding with the mainstay of JP Setu.

The SDRF group, located in Digha Ghat, immediately kicked out the rescue activity with the help of neighborhood players and figured out how to rescue 15 people following the throwing of life jackets and cylinders. However, there are six people absent so far.
